Custom Cabinets in Meridian for Kitchens and Baths
Meridian Quality Cabinets builds custom cabinets in Meridian, Idaho for kitchens, baths, and built-in rooms. We hang kitchen cabinets, fit bathroom vanities, and install pantry and laundry runs across Ada County. Shaker doors, new cabinet doors on sound boxes, and kitchen islands are part of the same shop work. South Meridian production houses often need boxes built to the wall. Eagle and Hidden Springs more often want full custom.
Office built-ins in a bonus room, a laundry surround around a stacked pair, and a pantry pull-out next to the fridge are the jobs that are not a full kitchen and still need a shop ticket. We measure those rooms the same way. Linear feet, door style, and whether the layout stays. The hang is shorter. The box still has to be square.
Call (208) 759-1616 and name the town, the room, and if the layout stays. Same week measures happen in most cases. Have a photo of the current run if you can.
Old Town along Pine, Main, and Meridian Road still has small kitchens. North of McMillan you get Paramount, Bridgetower, Lochsa Falls, and Reflection Ridge. South of I-84 you get Ten Mile, Lake Hazel, and the active new-construction belt. We spec the box to the house in front of us, not to a catalog photo from another state.

Residential Custom Cabinets Services in Meridian
Custom cabinets
We build boxes to the opening, not a stock SKU forced into a leftover kitchen. Face-frame or frameless, plywood sides, and doors that match the rest of the house. See custom cabinets .
Kitchen cabinets
A full replace or a few boxes to finish a gut. Uppers, bases, a sink box, and fillers that hide out-of-plumb drywall. See kitchen cabinets .
Bathroom vanities
A vanity that hits the drain and the shutoffs, not a big-box carcass that misses the trap. Single bowl, double bowl, or a floating box on blocking. See bathroom vanities .
Cabinet installation
Hang, scribe, and level. Production walls in new plats are rarely plumb. We shim, lag into studs, and leave a level counter line. See cabinet installation .
Pantry cabinets
Floor-to-ceiling storage, a walk-in with adjustable shelves, or a tall pull-out next to the fridge. See pantry cabinets .
Laundry cabinets
Small rooms, washer hookups, and a folding surface that is actually level. Stack surrounds and broom closets belong here. See laundry cabinets .
Office built-ins
Desks, file drawers, and bookcases that hit the crown in a bonus room. Wire chases for monitors, not a row of particleboard bookcases. See office built-ins .
Cabinet doors
New doors on boxes that are still sound. Overlay or inset, painted maple or stained oak. Not a full box replace. See cabinet doors .
Shaker cabinets
The style people search. Five-piece doors, square sticking, paint or stain. Still a box job, not a vinyl wrap. See shaker cabinets .
Kitchen islands
An island that is in the plan, with seating or without. Electrical and a second sink are other trades. See kitchen islands .
Cabinet Refacing
New doors and a skin on sound boxes. Swollen sink bases are a replace, not a veneer. See cabinet refacing .
Mudroom Cabinets
Lockers, a bench, and hooks on a real box, not leftover kitchen carcasses stood on end. See mudroom cabinets .
Closet Built-Ins
Drawers and rods to the wall in a reach-in or a walk-in. A wire kit is not this job. See closet built-ins .
Cabinet Replacement
The boxes come out. New carcasses, new hang, haul-off. Refacing is the other page. See cabinet replacement .
Entertainment Built-Ins
A TV wall with a wire chase and doors that hide the receiver. Fireplace stone is another trade. See entertainment built-ins .
Why Meridian Property Owners Call Meridian Quality Cabinets
Meridian grew fast after the dairies closed. The old grid on Pine and Main still hides small kitchens and plaster. North of McMillan the plats are master-planned. South of I-84 the Ten Mile belt is 2000s production with 8-foot ceilings and builder overlay doors. Those three stocks do not take the same spec.
We measure the run in linear feet, not from a Pinterest screenshot. A 3/4 inch plywood box with a 1/4 inch back is a different animal than a 1/2 inch particleboard carcass from a warehouse aisle. Blum or similar full-extension slides, European hinges, and a toe-kick that scribes to the slab are the default on custom work. Conversion varnish on paint-grade maple holds up in a Treasure Valley summer better than a waterborne latex on MDF that sits next to a dishwasher.
The Village at Meridian, West Ada schools, and the Idaho State Police campus sit on the same bench as the houses we work. Access is a driveway, not a loading dock. We stage boxes in the garage when we can. Crown, light rail, and fillers get cut on site because builder walls wander. KCMA construction grades and AWI custom-grade notes are industry language for how a box is built. They are not a plaque on this brand.
Scheduling is a measure, a shop ticket, then a hang day. Most kitchen hangs take one to three days after the boxes exist. Countertops, plumbing, and tile are adjacent trades. We leave you a level, square run for those people.
Climate on this bench is semi-arid. Summers run hot and dry. Winters are cold with light snow. August can sit near 0.24 inches of rain. Wood still moves. We spec plywood cases and a catalyzed finish because a dishwasher and a 100 F afternoon will find a weak box. Freeze-thaw is a masonry problem. For cabinets it means a garage that sat cold overnight should warm before we hang painted doors.
Call (208) 759-1616 when you want that sequence started.
Our Custom Cabinets Process
Measure the room, not the catalog
We shoot walls, openings, and the ceiling height. Out-of-square corners get written down. Appliance model numbers matter if the fridge sits proud of a 24 inch box. You get a drawing of the run before wood is cut.
Spec the boxes and the doors
Plywood or MDF, face-frame or 32mm frameless, overlay or inset. Door style, species, and finish get named on the ticket. Pull-outs, trash kits, and a lazy susan are line items, not surprises on install day.
Build in the shop, then dry-fit
Boxes leave the shop labeled. We dry-fit the corners and the sink base before we lag anything. A filler that is too tight is easier to recut in the driveway than after the counter template.
Hang, scribe, and leave a counter line
Wall cabinets go on a ledger. Bases get shimmed to a level line. Scribe the end panel to the drywall. Hardware goes on after the doors sit. You walk the kitchen before we leave. Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park and Settlers Park are not job sites. They mark the same bench as the houses. Access is a driveway. We stage in the garage when it is empty.
Areas We Serve
Meridian is the hub. We also work Boise , Nampa , Caldwell , Eagle , Kuna , Star , Middleton , Garden City , Emmett , Hidden Springs , south Meridian , and Melba . Each town has different housing stock. A North End bungalow is not a Tuscany production kitchen. If your street is next door and the job is real cabinet work, call (208) 759-1616 .
Chinden Boulevard, Eagle Road, Fairview, Ten Mile, Locust Grove, Linder, McMillan, Lake Hazel, and I-84 are the corridors people use to describe a house. SpurWing, The Oaks North, Saguaro Canyon, Settlers Bridge, and Cadence are plat names on the north and west side. We still need the room, not just the plat. Garden City is a tight carry. Emmett is a longer Gem County day. Melba is a farm-town ticket. Say that when you call so the measure is the right length.
Questions
How do we get an estimate?
For custom cabinets in Meridian, send photos and the town. Name the town, the room, and whether the layout stays. Photos of the current run help us start. We measure on site before we bid boxes, doors, or an island. There is no charge for that visit.
Which towns do you work in?
Meridian is the hub. We also take Boise, Nampa, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Caldwell, Garden City, Middleton, Emmett, Hidden Springs, south Meridian, and Melba. If your town sits next door and the job is real cabinet work, call and we will say if the route works.
Do you publish a price list?
No. Fixr, HomeAdvisor, and Angi publish national ranges. Those numbers are not a bid for your kitchen. Linear feet, plywood grade, door style, and how far the walls are out of plumb move the quote. Ask for a number after we measure.
Who does the work?
Calls and texts go to an independent local cabinet shop that takes work from this site. That shop sets prices, schedule, and how they build the boxes. The footer on every page says the same thing. Name the town and the job when you call.
Can I text instead of calling?
Yes. Text the same number with the town and a one-line description of the job. A photo of the current cabinets is enough to start. If we need more, we ask for a measure day. You do not need an account or a form.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. We quote before boxes leave the shop. You can decline the bid. Same week measure visits are typical when the calendar is open. That is not a 24 hour promise. Shaker doors, new cabinet doors on sound boxes, and kitchen islands are part of the same shop work.
